PLUG-IN ADAPTER

Pass the truck's fault codes to Carrier Nexus

A small adapter plugged into the truck's diagnostic port listens to the engine. This page, open on a phone in the cab, passes what it hears to the truck's fault list. It reads only: it never clears a code and never changes the truck. It is not an ELD and it does not replace the registered ELD on the truck.

Bluetooth adapters differ. These three codes come from the adapter's documentation. They are saved on this phone.

What this can and cannot do
  • Android Chrome or Edge on the phone, or desktop Chrome with a cable. iPhone and iPad web browsers cannot reach an adapter.
  • Keep this page open and the screen on. A web page cannot keep listening when the screen is off or the page is closed.
  • No signal: what it hears is saved on the phone and sent when signal returns.
  • Fault wording comes from public tables and is for a person to check, not an order. The code list is "possible", never a verdict.
  • Not proven on a real truck yet. Until it has been, treat what appears here as a test.
