Every load goes through the same steps, in order — open a load and use the step tabs: 1 Request → 2 Planning → 3 Driver & equipment → 4 Permits & route → 5 Rate & acceptance → 6 Release → 7 Driver pre-trip & departure → 8 Delivery & proof of delivery → 9 Invoice / factor. The rate comes after the driver and permits because where the driver is now (empty miles and fuel to reach the pickup) and the permit cost both belong in the rate. The driver cannot see the load until step 6, and step 6 will not release it if the driver or the equipment has a missing or expired required item(s).
🧭 Which load first? Rank the open loads by location
Scores each open load by how far its pickup is from the truck, what it pays per mile once the empty miles are counted, and where the delivery leaves you. Distances are straight-line × 1.2 (an estimate); plan the load you pick for the exact route.
