Acceptable Use

Draft rules that go with the Terms of Service. Yellow text is for the company's attorney.

You agree not to

• Break the law, or use Carrier Nexus to falsify, alter or hide records required by the FMCSA or any other authority (for example hours of service, inspection, drug-and-alcohol, qualification or maintenance records), or to mislead an inspector, officer, insurer or customer.
• Enter, upload or share information about a person without the right to do so, including Social Security numbers, licence images, medical, drug-and-alcohol or consumer-report information, location data or private messages.
• Use consumer reports, motor-vehicle records or screening information for a purpose the law does not allow, or share them with people who have no need to see them.
• Track a driver's location without the driver's agreement and your own lawful basis, or use location data for anything other than your business operations.
• Send texts, WhatsApp messages or e-mails to people who have not agreed or who have said stop, or send spam, scams or harassment through the service.
• Try to get around access controls: use another person's account, look at another company's data, probe or test the service's security without our written permission, overload it, or scrape it.
• Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory or harmful.
• Misuse integrations: use credentials you are not entitled to, break the terms of the connected service, or resell access.
• Use AI features to process information you may not share with a service provider, or to make decisions about people without a person checking the result.
• Copy, resell or reverse engineer the software, or build a competing service from it.

Carrier administrators

If you administer a company's account you also agree to: give each person only the role they need; remove people who leave; keep the second step on for non-driver roles; tell your drivers and staff what is collected and obtain the agreements the law requires from them; and answer their requests about records you hold.
