Cookies and Storage
What Carrier Nexus keeps in your browser, and which other websites a page contacts. Checked against the software; the full list of keys is in docs/legal/privacy-facts.md.
Cookies
Carrier Nexus sets no cookies and has no advertising or analytics trackers. Because of that it shows no cookie banner. If that ever changes, this page and the Privacy Notice will change first and people will be asked.
Browser storage
| What | Why | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
| Sign-in session (the sign-in provider's token and a page flag) | Keeps you signed in; the page flag only decides what to display, the database still checks your sign-in | You sign out, or it expires |
| Language, theme (light/dark), active company, menu open/closed, tour done, filters | Remember your choices | Until you clear site data |
| Cached copies of lists and records (loads, documents, expenses and similar), saved drafts, offline queues (for example saved location points, feedback not yet sent) | Speed, and so work is not lost without signal | Until sent or cleared |
| Temporary session storage and IndexedDB | Short-lived page state; files shared into the app from a phone wait there until the app takes them | Closing the tab, or until taken |
Service worker and its cache (sw.js) | Lets the app open when offline and receive files shared from other phone apps | Until a new version replaces it or you clear site data |
On a shared computer, sign out and clear site data. Cached business records can include personal information.
Other websites a page contacts
Most signed-in pages load fonts from Google Fonts, and many load code libraries from jsDelivr (some from cdnjs, unpkg or the SheetJS CDN). When your browser fetches them, those hosts receive your network address and browser details, and may set their own cookies under their own policies. Training videos play from YouTube. These are listed with links on the subprocessors page. The officer QR page and this page load nothing from other websites.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because Carrier Nexus runs no advertising or analytics, there is nothing for those signals to switch off. The software does not read them. [COUNSEL: whether a statement about browser signals is required.]
Your controls
Your browser's settings can clear site data and block third-party requests; blocking fonts and libraries can make pages look or work differently.
[COUNSEL: whether a cookie/consent notice is needed for any audience; wording of the third-party-hosts disclosure. OWNER: self-hosting the fonts and libraries would remove the third-party requests.]
